Our university was selected for the Ministry of Education’s “High School Education Contribution College Support Project” for 5 consecutive years.

Among the total of 68 schools selected for this project, our university made the list through excellent evaluations based on the 2017 project performance and 2018 project planning.

The High School Education Contribution College Support Project was introduced in 2014 with the aims to promote substantiality of high school education and more emphasis on high school education in terms of college admission screening to alleviate the difficulties of college admission for students and parents.

Our university has been analyzed to have received good ratings based on the simplification of college admission screening to alleviate the burden on examinees while actively providing requisite information on precollege preparations and operation of programs which can contribute to the substantiality of high school education.

Specifically, in order to simplify college admission screening and ultimately alleviate the burden on preparing students, our university sought various methods such as mitigating the minimum academic standard of college entrance exam for students with outstanding essay scores and school grades, abolishing common questions in humanities/natural sciences for students with outstanding essay scores, and allowing the students to choose the area of entrance exam which is to be applied. In addition, in the case of comprehensive student affairs screening which utilizes “Detailed School Records” as the main screening factor, the number of recruitment was increased and college admission information was actively provided to additionally alleviate the burden on examinees.

Our university has been actively providing guides on majors and information related to admission preparation to examinees through the production of a webzine on college admission screening, magazine on college admission screening, essay writing guide book, and guide book on searching for the right major. In addition to providing information, our school has contributed in reducing expenditures on private education for the examinees by implementing mock essay writing, mock interview, etc. which allow the students to personally experience different screening processes. Furthermore, our university has made steady progress by operating diverse and practical programs in connection with middle/high schools such as the free semester system, career and major experiential program, and college admission screening guide programs. Especially, our school’s free semester system was awarded the the Minister of Education Citation for 2 consecutive years.

Officials from Admissions said, “Our university plans to continuously play a leading role in the substantiation of high school education through simplification of college admission screening, active provision of college admission information, and operation of qualitatively excellent high school partnership programs.”
